    Claire Colinet (Belgium, 1880 ~ 1950) Born in Brussels at the turn of the century, she studied under Lambeaux and settled in France where she became a member of the Salon des Artistes Francais and then exhibited there from 1913 onwards and received a commendation in 1914. She also exhibited at the Indépendants from 1937 to 1940. She executed a large number of chryselephatine sculptures and specialised in female statuettes of exotic dancers from striking models in ballet poses to the magnificent dancers full of Eastern promise.
