ABOUT
Nathan & Hayes
Nathan & Hayes was a distinguished British silversmith partnership between George Nathan and Ridley Hayes, active from the late 19th to early 20th century. Based in Birmingham with offices in London’s Hatton Garden, they registered their first joint mark in 1897. Renowned for high-quality silverware in the Arts & Crafts and revival styles, they produced a range of items including tea sets, belt buckles, and decorative pieces. Their work often featured fine repoussé and chased detailing. Hallmarked with “N & H” or “G.N. & R.H.”, their pieces were assayed in Birmingham, Chester, and London. The firm was later acquired by S. Blanckensee & Sons.
