    LANCERAY, EUGENE ALEXANDROVICH

    Eugeni Alexandrovich Lanceray (Russian, 1848 ~ 1886) Lanceray was born in St Petersburg and became a Russian sculptor mainly concentrating on animals and equestrian subjects. He was very sucessful in Pairs, deriving inspiration from his native Russia for his sculptures of Cossack warriors, peasant children and troikas.
