ABOUT
Alfred Jacquemart, French - 1824 to 1896 ~ Jacquemart earned his reputation for groups and figures of animals. At the Salon des Beaux Arts he studied painting with Delaroche and sculpture, to which he would devote himself with Klagmann. He participated at the Salon from 1847 to 1879 receiving a number of distinctions. Jacquemart also travelled extensively in Turkey, Egypt and the Middle East.
