ABOUT
Arthur-Marie-Gabriel Comte du Passage (French, 1838 ~1909) was a French sculptor who was born and died at the Chateau de Frohen. Throughout his military career he studied animal sculpture under Barye and Mêne, thus learning his techniques from the best masters of the art of animalier sculpture. He exhibited at the Salon from 1865~93. Most of his subjects are of horses and hunting scenes but includ smaller models of game animals.
